Hail stones strip crops
Wayne and Peg Winckler farm, located northwest of Tyndall, along with other farms received hail damage June 25, as well as three and one-half inches of rain. The swath of the hail was approximately one-half mile wide by five miles long going to the north. Crop adjusters estimated damage to crops from 50% to completely destroyed. It is not known if it is too late to replant the damaged crops.
